Galaxy S10 S10 plus
The modern line of Samsung flagships consists of three devices at once: Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy S10e. Of course, the company decided not in vain to release three smartphones for different price segments, because each of them has its own characteristics, which can play a key role in the purchase. And if you know all the subtleties and differences between the devices, then operating with the price can decently save (or vice versa – pay extra for functions that you really need).
Of course, if you have a limited budget, and the question of choice is decided only at a price, the Galaxy S10e will suit you. This is not strange, because the younger smartphone, as well as its older brothers, turned out to be quite attractive and interesting. However, in order to definitely not be disappointed in the purchase, it is better to choose according to technical characteristics and other differences.
Which is better – Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 +
Take, for example, size. Despite the different diagonal of the screen, the dimensions of smartphones do not differ much. Galaxy S10 + is slightly longer and wider – 157.6 mm and 74.1 mm versus 149.9 mm and 70.4 mm for the regular S10, respectively, but it has a smaller thickness – 7.4 mm versus 7.8 mm for S10 and 7.9 mm for S10e. At the same time, we must not forget that the screen is flat on the S10e, but on the S10 + it already has a curved shape. Therefore, the tactile sensations can be different: for some, “uneven” screens slip out of hands, for others – on the contrary, it is more convenient with large smartphones.
But the main differences, of course, lie in the technical characteristics.
For now, forget about the younger model, compare the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +. Firstly, in the usual S10 you “lose” 0.3 inches in the diagonal of the screen. Not really critical, in addition, it makes the smartphone smaller and easier – 157 versus 175, so you can buy the Galaxy S10 +. Moreover, the display can hardly be attributed to serious advantages, especially in both cases we are dealing with an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3040 x 1440.
But there is also a fly in the ointment: together with the dimensions of the display, the engineers had to reduce the size of the battery, which leads to much lower battery capacity (4100 mAh versus 3400 mAh). This will affect battery life: not as much as it could, but if you need a capacious battery, this can be a problem.
For selfie lovers, S10 lacks a front camera of two modules, which affects the quality of pictures not in the best way. BUT! This smartphone has a much more concise round neckline for a selfie camera. Many may like this design decision more than the oval hole in the S10 +, so buying a Galaxy S10 is also a good option.
If you want to take the Galaxy S10e – it, of course, is more modest. Here the screen is even smaller – 0.3 inches diagonally, and with this, we also get a drop in screen resolution. And since the screen is smaller, then the battery capacity is lower (already only 3100 mAh). But this is not so scary as the lack of one of the main features of the new Samsung smartphones – an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Plus, the Galaxy S10e already has two camera modules, not three, which means the quality of the pictures will be slightly worse than that of the “older brothers”. Therefore, this device has only two advantages – price and size, since holding the smartphone, in this case, is much better.
Here is a complete list of technical specifications so that the question of differences finally disappears:
What to choose – Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + or Galaxy S10e
From year to year, the smartphones of this line were updated, looked beautiful, had top-notch current characteristics and were always expensive. And if the issue of price is not too acute for you, we advise you to pay attention to the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 +, which can now be bought much cheaper than at the start of sales. But there are users who want a true flagship smartphone from the flagship line with a new flagship design, basic, again, flagship features and capabilities, but not expensive. For them, the Galaxy S10e was created. In general, we recommend that you at least hold each of the smartphones in your hands before making a final purchase decision.
